RGB @ TelcoTV 2010
November 10-11 – Booth #219 – Las Vegas

With the transition to three screen video delivery well underway, video service providers are challenged to keep the complexity of their networks at a minimum while finding ways to reduce their capital and operational costs…not to mention generating new revenue!
At RGB Networks we are always innovating to bring operators the most advanced technology, but we also ensure that our solutions help our customers to make a smooth and cost-effective transition as they introduce the next generation of services.
At TelcoTV 2010, we demonstrated the cost and operational benefits of RGB’s advanced video processing solutions for MPEG-4/H.264 and MPEG-2 with a focus on key applications, including:
Three Screen Delivery: RGB’s award-winning Video Multiprocessing Gateway (VMG) simplifies deployments of video services to TVs, PCs and mobile devices with its integrated transcoding and ad insertion capabilities, while its modular chassis and licensed-based model allow for scalable expansion of services. The only carrier-class, high-availability platform on the market, the VMG reduces management headaches and capital and operational costs today, and provides a smooth transition path for the delivery of multi-screen services.
RGB’s recent acquisition of RipCode expands our solutions for small screen video transcoding. Among our new offerings is the Application Media Server (AMS) — an excellent complement to the VMG, enabling a unique distributed architecture. This advanced product earned a finalist bid for a TelcoTV Vision Award.

- Ad & Overlay Insertion: Whether you’re looking to perform ad insertion on just the TV or across multiple devices, RGB offers an integrated solution that will help you to monetize all of your video services. Extending SCTE-based broadcast ad insertion standards to small screen devices, RGB can help you to
easily deploy revenue-generating targeted advertising that leverages the existing advertising ecosystem. Visitors to our booth learned how they can seamlessly implement or extend their advertising strategy across one, two or three screens.
We also highlighted other implementations of RGB’s versatile overlay capabilities on the Broadcast Network Processor (BNP), including EAS and alert overlays.
