RGB NETWORKS ANNOUNCES TECHNICAL ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS

Diverse Industry Veterans Complement Corporate Leadership to Help Refine Business, Product Strategies 

SAN MATEO, CA – January 4, 2005– RGB Networks, the leader in network video processing, today announced the members of its Technical Advisory Board (TAB), a prestigious group of industry leaders that are helping the company define, verify and validate its product development efforts.

Strategic Counsel
The TAB members, all recognized industry veterans, advise RGB on strategic product and technology issues to accelerate the product development effort and bolster the company's links with the business and technical communities. By offering honest and objective feedback, the board is helping RGB develop a truly innovative video processing solution that will give the company a distinct competitive advantage.

The RGB TAB members include:

  • Stephen Dukes, President and CEO, Imaginary Universes: An acknowledged leader of the video delivery industry and an IEEE fellow, Dukes, the board's chairman, has held a variety of senior management positions at companies such as MediaOne, TCI, MCNS, 3DO, CableLabs and Boeing Computer Services.
  • Dr. Walt Ciciora, Ph.D., consultant: Ciciora, a former vice president of technology at Time Warner Cable, is a recognized expert in the cable, television, telecommunications and consumer electronics industries. He is also an IEEE fellow and the author of one of the cable industry's definitive textbooks, Modern Cable Television Technology: Video, Voice and Data Communications.
  • Nick Hamilton-Piercy, Senior Technology Advisor, Rogers Communications, Inc.: A 50-year veteran of the telecommunications industry, Hamilton-Piercy has been instrumental in launching digital video satellite distribution, interactive television technology, high-speed cable modem services and other leading technologies.
  • John Holobinko, President and CEO, VPIsystems: Holobinko is a seasoned executive with expertise in network and systems architectures deployed by cable television multiple systems operators (MSOs) and telephone companies, as well as the delivery of converged services over these networks.
  • John Lappington, Vice President, New Business Development - Cable Products, Broadcom Corp.: Co-founder, president and CEO of Digital Furnace Corp. (acquired by Broadcom), Lappington has held senior management and engineering positions at companies such as Antec, ESP, Scientific Atlanta and Chrysler Corp.
  • Pragash Pillai, Vice President, Advanced Engineering - Digital Video, Charter Communications: Pillai has extensive experience in new technology service developments such as all-digital networks, Video On Demand, High Definition Television, digital video recorders, Small System Digital networks, interactive television and set-top box designs.
