RGB LAUNCHES INDUSTRY’S MOST ADVANCED NETWORK VIDEO
PROCESSING SOLUTIONS AT CABLE CONGRESS

Establishes European HQ and Names Sarah Hackforth as Vice President of Sales for
Europe, Middle East and Africa

UNITED KINGDOM – February 1, 2007 – RGB Networks, the leader in network video processing, today announced that visitors to Cable Congress in Amsterdam – Feb 6-8 - stand # 22 - will be able to see the industry’s highest density digital video processing solutions.  On show will be a number of products based upon RGB’s uniquely powerful and flexible Video Intelligence Architecture™ (VIA) platform, all designed to help cable operators make the move to digital networks.  A highlight will be RGB’s Broadcast Network Processor (BNP), which is being launched, fully-featured, for the European market this quarter.

RGB is quickly establishing a presence in the EMEA region, with a sales and support office already open in the United Kingdom.  Having recently marked the shipment of its 1,200th VIA family product, RGB is building on this strong acceptance in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean to bring their high density video processing solutions to new markets around the world.  In addition, RGB recently announced the hiring of Sarah Hackforth as Vice President of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).  Hackforth joins RGB from Entone Technologies, where she served as Vice President of Sales and Operations for EMEA.  Hackforth’s addition marks RGB’s commitment to establishing sales and support operations throughout this key region.

“With European operators accelerating their rollouts of advanced, high-bandwidth digital services, such as high-definition television (HDTV) and video-on-demand (VOD), as well as new network architectures, including switched digital video and IPTV, we see a tremendous opportunity for RGB’s video processing solutions to enable them to optimize bandwidth, simplify network architectures and reduce operational costs,” said Jef Graham, CEO of RGB Networks.  “With Sarah’s in-depth knowledge of the cable market throughout EMEA, she will be able to leverage her strong relationships and quickly bring the considerable benefits of our Video Intelligence Architecture™ to video service providers throughout the region.”

Hackforth brings over 15 years of experience in the EMEA cable marketplace to her new position at RGB Networks. While at Entone, Hackforth developed and executed the go-to-market strategy for the European market, including building relationships with key channel partners.  Prior to Entone, Hackforth was Vice President and General Manager, EMEA at Terayon and Managing Director, EMEA at Motorola Broadband Systems Group, which she joined through the acquisition of RiverDelta Networks.  In each of these positions she was instrumental in establishing sales channels, introducing products and securing contracts with major European cable and telecommunications operators.  Hackforth’s prior experience with these industry players has made her thoroughly familiar with the technology behind cable television as well as the motivations driving the EMEA video marketplace.

“Having worked extensively with cable operators throughout Europe, I know that they are looking for solutions that will enable them to achieve new revenue streams while helping them to manage the bandwidth-constraints that they face in delivering advanced video services,” said Hackforth.  “RGB has developed an impressive set of products that have already been proven to solve these problems in systems throughout the Americas.  RGB’s strong reputation for technical achievement and real world success provides me with the credibility and support I need to further global deployment of our technology and help European operators to bring the benefits of personalized video services to their subscribers throughout the region.”

Please visit RGB Networks at the Cable Congress, stand #22, February 6-8 in Amsterdam to learn how RGB is improving the economics of today’s video offerings and enabling the delivery of a new generation of personalized, revenue-generating video services.

About RGB’s Broadcast Network Processor
The second product based on RGB’s Video Intelligence Architecture™ (VIA), the Broadcast Network Processor (BNP) is designed to enable cable operators to deliver highly targeted and personalized video services.  Housed in a one rack-unit platform, the BNP delivers the cable industry’s highest density solution for digital video grooming, statistical multiplexing, transrating and digital program insertion (DPI).  With the ability to process more than 500 video streams in a single rack unit, the BNP significantly lowers the cost of delivering advanced digital video services. RGB’s Broadcast Network Processor offers the scalability to support current and future network growth, while also providing the flexibility to sustain new applications such as switched digital video, targeted ad insertion and digital simulcast.  The BNP also reduces the complexity and cost of deploying these services, allowing operators to focus on introducing more personalized, revenue-generating services.

About RGB Networks
