RGB Networks Expands Latin America Presence with New Sales Executive
Henrique Etrusco is Latest Addition to RGB’s Growing Global Sales Team
SAN MATEO, CA – June 21, 2007– RGB Networks, the leader in network video processing, today announced it is expanding its Latin American sales efforts with the addition of Henrique Etrusco, who has joined the company as a Director of Sales. Based in Brazil, Etrusco is responsible for sales throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
“The need for RGB’s digital video processing solutions is growing in Latin America as cable operators throughout the region transition to digital and deliver increasingly more advanced services,” said Lou Mastrocola, Vice President of Sales for RGB Networks. “A seasoned cable and telecom veteran, Henrique has a proven track record selling to the largest cable operators Latin American, and we are confident he can build on the success we’ve already had in the region.”
Etrusco has more than 15 years experience in the cable industry, and comes to RGB from Standard Communications, where he served as managing director for Latin America and the Caribbean. While in this role, Etrusco grew sales from virtually nothing to 10 percent of total company revenues within two years. Prior to Standard Communications, Etrusco was a regional sales and marketing manager for Pico Macom, where he increased sales to his region (Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Columbia) 33 percent in one year. Before transitioning to sales, Etrusco held a variety of roles with two large Brazilian cable operators, Cabo Total and TVA.
“RGB Networks’ product line is ideal for Latin American cable operators, providing the advanced processing capabilities they need to expand and expedite their rollouts of advanced digital services,” said Etrusco. “In particular, the superior stream processing density of RGB’s products enables these services to be deployed quickly and broadly as the per-stream costs are substantially lower than competitive products.”
Etrusco is the latest addition to RGB’s expanding global sales operation, complementing recent additions to the sales and support teams covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific. RGB is committed to serving new – and existing – international customers and intends to expand its operations in these regions through additional staff and partnerships.
RGB Networks offers a comprehensive suite of digital video networking products built on its unique Video Intelligence Architecture™ (VIA) which enable an unprecedented number of digital video streams to be processed in a small form factor of one rack unit (1RU). This exceptional stream processing density – combined with transrating, statistical remultiplexing, digital overlay, digital program insertion (DPI), modulation and digital-to-analog decoding capabilities – enable RGB’s products to dramatically reduce the cost and complexity of delivering increasingly targeted, personalized and on-demand services.
RGB’s product line includes the Broadcast Network Processor (BNP), for targeted ad insertion and grooming, the new Dynamic Bandwidth Manager (DBM), which enables up to 50 percent more VOD content to be delivered without increasing bandwidth, the Universal Scalable Modulator (USM), the industry’s highest-density edge QAM, the Modular Media Converter (MMC), for ASI-to-GigE conversion and the Simulcast Edge Processor (SEP) for edge decoding and analog modulation to implement digital simulcast architectures. RGB has shipped over 1,800 video processors to operators throughout the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
