SAN MATEO, CA – October 24, 2006 – RGB Networks, the leader in network video processing, today announced the addition of Jim Dolce, most recently Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at Juniper Networks, to its board of directors.
With the addition of Dolce, RGB Networks’ Board of Directors is currently comprised of eight members including Jef Graham, Chairman & CEO, and Adam S. Tom, Co-founder and EVP, Business Development, RGB Networks; William R. Hearst III, Partner, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers; Gordon L. Stitt, President, CEO & Director, Extreme Networks; Jim Swartz, Partner, Accel Partners; Louis A. Toth, Managing Director, Comcast Interactive Capital; and Carl Vogel, Vice Chairman & President, Echostar Communications.
“Having worked with Jim, I am very familiar with the telecom expertise, global perspective and general business savvy that he brings to his new role as an RGB board member,” said Jef Graham, Chairman and CEO of RGB Networks. “His experience in building and scaling technology companies will prove invaluable to RGB’s success as we continue to adapt our flexible video processing technology for new applications and markets, including our current push into the telco market, as well as to expand internationally.”
Dolce joined Juniper Networks in July 2002 through the acquisition of Unisphere Networks, where as CEO he guided the growth and eventual sale of the company. While at Juniper, he was responsible for the company’s global marketing, customer service, sales and partner management.
Prior to Unisphere, Dolce served as President and founder of Redstone Communications, and Vice President and General Manager of the remote access business unit of Cascade Communications, now Lucent. Dolce joined Cascade in 1996 through the acquisition of Arris Networks, a Massachusetts-based start-up he co-founded in 1995.
“I am very impressed by RGB’s success in the cable market in such a short time, which I believe can be attributed to nimble thinking and forward-looking technology--I am thrilled to be joining the board of such an innovative and well-respected young company,” said Dolce. “I look forward to making a significant contribution to their plans for expansion into areas of huge potential, such as IPTV. With superior technology and industry-driving leadership, I believe RGB Networks will continue to experience great success.”
