RGB NETWORKS JOINS NCUBE'S VENDOR INTEROPERABILITY PROGRAM TAKING AD INSERTION, ON DEMAND TO NEXT LEVEL

RGB to Integrate its Video Intelligence Architecture Platform with nCUBE's Digital Advertising and On Demand Solutions

SAN MATEO, CA & PORTLAND, OR – October 12, 2004 – Video delivery innovator RGB Networks today announced a partnership agreement with nCUBE Corp., a leading provider of digital advertising and On Demand solutions.

As a member of the nCUBE Vendor Interoperability Program (nVIP), RGB will integrate its Video Intelligence Architecture (VIAT) platform, which provides a framework for highly scalable video processing and cost-effective bandwidth expansion, with nCUBEs industry-leading digital advertising and On Demand solutions to enhance the delivery of advanced video services such as ad insertion and Video On Demand (VOD) in digital video markets.

Operators will be able to use the combined solution to improve the efficiency of their systems, lower total overall operational costs and generate new revenue streams with the addition of targeted ad insertion capabilities. nCUBE is the industry leader in digital advertising, with more than 80 percent of all digital channels operating worldwide.

"This partnership has the potential to dramatically impact the efficient and cost-effective delivery of all-digital services in the current digital broadcast environment, as well as scaling for the On Demand domain," said Adam S. Tom, president and CEO of RGB Networks. "By combining our respective talents and technologies, RGB and nCUBE can help shape the video delivery market for the immediate future and beyond."

"We are pleased to welcome RGB Networks into the nCUBE Vendor Interoperability Program, which was developed to help operators reduce the complexity and time to market associated with closed and proprietary On Demand vendors," said Terri Richardson, vice president of Product and Market Management at nCUBE. "nCUBE has a history of providing operators worldwide with a robust, interoperable VOD solution and we are very happy to have RGB join us to bring our customers a fully tested and integrated solution for delivering compelling On Demand services."

nVIP offers service providers the maximum flexibility to choose the component elements of their On Demand architecture and software at the lowest operational cost. nVIP partner companies are pre-integrated with nCUBE's digital advertising and On Demand solutions, giving operators greater choice without sacrificing speed to market. Additionally, an nVIP-integrated solution allows operators to benefit from nCUBE's experienced professional services and engineering teams. The program currently includes over 30 companies worldwide.
